Installation
To prevent moisture absorption through capillary action, we recommend avoiding burying the bamboo canes in damp soil.
You can lay a drainage layer of stones or similar material to allow water to flow away without becoming stagnant.
Care and maintenance
Routine cleaning
Dust and surface dirt: use a damp cloth or soft brush with soap or degreaser.
Stains or deep cleaning: Pressure wash.
Long-term maintenance
Optional treatment: Apply bamboo oil or natural wax (enhances shine and durability).
Natural product
No two canes are exactly alike (natural variations in shape, straightness, taper and colour).
Exposure to UV rays causes gradual discolouration to grey/silver (see ‘Care and maintenance’ section).
They may expand or contract slightly with changes in humidity/temperature (like wood).
Small surface cracks may appear (especially during the first year of installation).
These cracks are purely cosmetic (they do not compromise the structure), and are part of the natural acclimatisation process, especially outdoors.
Technical note: These characteristics are inherent properties of bamboo, not manufacturing defects.
